Açaí smoothie – tips for beginners

As you might know, a good smoothie is one of my biggest obsessions! But you have to admit: it is so easily prepared, tastes delicious, filled with nutrients and always looks so incredibly pretty.

In case you haven’t made your own smoothie yet, don’t worry about the Equipment. You do not need a super expensive, high-quality blender or Vitamix. There is no need to pay 700$ for this if you are just getting started. Actually, it’s like buying a car. When you just started you don’t want to be driving around with the fanciest electric sportscar you can get. Take baby steps. No blender in the world can do magic, it’s all about the ingredients.

And talking about the ingredients: basically, you can add to your smoothie whichever fruits and veggies you want! It is always so much fun experimenting new flavour combinations and sometimes those weird and strange ones are the best! So don’t be shy and get creative!

But in case you need some inspiration for a super easy, super nutritious and super delicious variation, just try this heavenly Açaí Smoothie.

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas, very ripe. You can also add frozen ones and this will thicken the consistency (aka nicecream)
  • 2 dates, pitted
  • 1 cup of berries, I used blueberries and raspberries
  • 1 Tsp Açaí powder
  • a pinch of vanilla
  • some plant milk, I used oat milk
  • soy or coconut yoghurt

The great thing about the preparation of your smoothie just add all ingredients into a blender and blend it up! Depending on how liquid you want it to be, first start with some milk and add some more if you wish.
